CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Pays Tribute to Uttarakhand Martyrs

Dehradun: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute at the Shaheed Sthal (Martyr’s Memorial) in Dehradun, offering floral tributes to the martyrs of the Uttarakhand statehood movement. He honored the memory of those who laid down their lives in the struggle for a separate Uttarakhand state.

In his address, CM Dhami acknowledged the sacrifices made by the statehood activists, stating that they had dreamed of a new and prosperous Uttarakhand. He affirmed that the state government is diligently working to realize their dreams and vision by turning Uttarakhand into a model state for the country. He emphasized that the state government is making consistent efforts to ensure that this decade belongs to Uttarakhand, with rapid progress being made in every sector to meet public expectations.

Additionally, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries at the Information Directorate on Ring Road, Dehradun. In a ceremony, he offered floral tributes and reflected on the teachings of these great leaders.

Banshidhar Tiwari highlighted the principles of non-violence and truth that Mahatma Gandhi stood for, urging everyone to follow these ideals to promote peace, prosperity, and harmony in society. He also spoke about Lal Bahadur Shastri’s values of simplicity and selflessness, encouraging the public to adopt such principles to advance in life.

The ceremony saw the presence of Additional Director Ashish Kumar Tripathi, Deputy Director Manoj Kumar Srivastava, and other officials and staff members of the Information Directorate.

Chief Minister Dhami also paid his respects to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri at the CM’s residence, offering floral tributes to their portraits on the occasion of their birth anniversaries.
