A tragic accident occurred on Friday evening in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, when a Max vehicle carrying wedding guests fell into a gorge. The accident took place in the Naugaon area of Jayharikhal block, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to nine others.
According to reports, the incident happened around 6 PM. The Max vehicle was returning from Basda village to Guniyaal village with wedding guests when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into the gorge. Upon receiving the news, teams from the police and SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) arrived at the scene and rescued the injured, who were then rushed to Base Hospital in Kotdwar for treatment.

Local residents reported that the Max driver had taken a shortcut route, while other guests had already reached home in different vehicles. The incident has caused chaos in the village, and authorities are closely monitoring the condition of the injured.
