Jaspur: Police Arrest Drug Smuggler With 3.09 Grams of Smack, Sent to Judicial Custody

Jaspur Police have arrested an alleged drug smuggler with 3.09 grams of smack during a checking operation in the town. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant provisions of the law, and he has been sent to judicial custody.

According to Circle Officer (CO) Akhilesh Kumar, the police team intercepted a suspicious individual in the municipal area during routine patrol. The accused was identified as Mohammad Naushad alias Sulla, a resident of Mohalla Nai Basti, Jaspur.

During the search, police recovered 3.09 grams of smack from his possession. Following the recovery, the accused was taken into custody, and legal proceedings were initiated. The motorcycle used by the accused has also been seized as part of the investigation.

Police said the action is part of the ongoing campaign against narcotics trafficking in the region. Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the contraband and whether the accused has links to a wider drug supply network.
