Uttarakhand Declares Public Holiday on Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, Schools Closed

The Uttarakhand government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. As per the official order issued by the state administration, all government offices, educational institutions, and schools across Uttarakhand will remain closed on December 27, which falls on a Saturday.

The holiday has been announced to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, who is remembered for his contribution to social justice, courage, and the formation of the Khalsa Panth. The decision applies to government offices, schools, and other state-run institutions, while essential services are expected to function as per standard guidelines.

The official notification regarding the public holiday has been circulated to all departments to ensure uniform implementation across the state.
