Chicken Feed Theft Case Solved in Roorkee, One Accused Arrested by Police

Vigilance Arrests Two Officials for Bribery

Roorkee – Police have solved a major theft case involving a poultry farm in Thaska village under the Manglaur police station area of Roorkee and arrested one of the accused. The case relates to the theft of a large quantity of chicken feed, causing significant financial loss to the farm owner.

According to police records, Rekha Rani, a resident of Thaska village, had been running a poultry farm on rented premises within the village. On the night of January 8, unknown thieves broke the lock of the farm’s storage room and stole 90 bags of chicken feed stored inside.

Following the incident, a complaint was filed, and on January 18, police registered a case against two named accused, Dharmveer and Bhoora. After sustained investigation and raids, police arrested Dharmveer, a resident of Thaska village. Based on his disclosure, 10 bags of stolen chicken feed were recovered.

Kotwali In-charge Inspector Amarjeet Singh stated that efforts are ongoing to trace the second named accused as well as individuals involved in purchasing the stolen goods. The investigation is continuing to recover the remaining stolen feed and establish the full chain involved in the theft.
