Hindu organisations staged protests in different parts of Udham Singh Nagar district against alleged atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, demanding strong action from the Government of India. The protesters also urged the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety of the Hindu community and appealed to the international community to take note of the situation.

In Dineshpur, workers of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal gathered in the main market area on Tuesday evening and took out a procession up to Subhash Chowk. During the protest, slogans were raised against the Bangladesh government, alleging continuous attacks on Hindus and inaction against extremist elements. Protesters placed the Bangladesh flag and posters of Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus on the road and voiced their anger over the situation across the border. They demanded that the central government take strict diplomatic and political steps against Bangladesh.

Speakers alleged that attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh have increased and accused the authorities there of failing to act against those responsible. Several local leaders and activists participated in the demonstration, including Pankaj Chakravarti, Pradeep Kohli, Nitin Mandal, Shubham Badhwa, Suresh, Vishal Mandal, Ankit Gain, Udit Mandal, Brijesh Malik and Dilip Kumar.

Similar protests were held in Kaladhungi, where Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists demonstrated at the bus stand. They raised slogans against Islamic extremism and the Bangladesh government, and burnt an effigy to register their protest. The organisations described the violence against minorities in Bangladesh as a serious violation of human rights.

District minister Girish Padaliya alleged that after the change in power in Bangladesh, extremist activities have increased. He referred to the killing of a Hindu labourer, Deep Das, claiming he was falsely accused of blasphemy and brutally murdered by a mob, with videos circulated to spread fear. Protesters accused the Bangladesh administration of remaining inactive and demanded that India raise the issue at the international level.
