BKTC Initiates Training for Employees to Make Prasad Boxes and Bags

Dehradun: The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), in collaboration with the Saraswati Jan Kalyan and Swavlamban Sansthan, has launched a training program for temple employees to manufacture prasad boxes and bags. The initiative, which began at the Chandravadani Temple Rest House in Dehradun, aims to ensure self-reliance in packaging production.

BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal and the organization’s president inaugurated the training. Addressing the trainees, Thapliyal emphasized the significance of providing prasad in properly designed bags and boxes to pilgrims visiting Badrinath and Kedarnath. Through this training, temple employees will gain the skills necessary to produce these items internally, reducing reliance on external suppliers.

Saraswati Jan Kalyan and Swavlamban Sansthan president Pradeep Dobhal praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of self-sufficiency. Master trainers Ranjana Giri, Khushboo, and Nidhi Prajapati are conducting the sessions, which will run from 10 AM to 5 PM daily until April 9.

BKTC media spokesperson Dr. Harish Gaur stated that this entrepreneurship-focused training is the first of its kind, initiated under the leadership of Thapliyal. Key attendees included Dharma Adhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, manager Kishan Trivedi, and union secretary Rakesh Jhinkwan. Several temple committee employees actively participated in the training, contributing to the success of this self-reliance effort.
