Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the “Felicitation Ceremony 2024” organized at Amrapali University in Haldwani on Monday. He expressed his enthusiasm, noting how youth-centric programs always fill him with energy. The CM praised the youth for excelling in education, technology, arts, and sports, emphasizing their role in bringing positive changes to society. He also lauded Amrapali University for its contributions to education, with many of its students achieving success in various fields.
CM Dhami referred to Swami Vivekananda’s words, highlighting the boundless potential and energy within individuals and encouraging the youth to channel their strengths in the right direction. The Chief Minister announced the establishment of 20 model colleges in Uttarakhand, along with the construction of IT labs, smart classes, and women’s hostels. He mentioned MoUs signed with the British High Commission and Infosys Springboard, which will provide scholarships for five students annually to study in the UK. The state government has allocated ₹1,700 crores in the budget for youth welfare, sports, and higher technical education.
