Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi reviewed the progress of the under-construction Sainya Dham during a meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday. Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan and officials from various departments were present. Minister Joshi directed the officials to complete the final phase of construction work at full speed, stressing that the Sainya Dham must be completed by June without fail. He emphasized maintaining high construction quality while adhering strictly to timelines.
Minister Joshi described the Sainya Dham being built in Guniyal Village, Dehradun, as a dream project of the government. He noted that the design and construction of Sainya Dham were undertaken after a detailed study of memorials across the country. Various aspects related to the project were discussed extensively during the meeting, and necessary instructions were issued. The Minister said that Sainya Dham would serve as a lasting tribute to the memory of the state’s martyred soldiers.

It is noteworthy that soil from the courtyards of 1,734 martyrs across Uttarakhand and water from sacred rivers, including the Ganga and Yamuna, have been used in the construction of Sainya Dham.
The meeting was attended by Sainik Welfare Secretary Dipendra Chaudhary, Managing Director of Jal Nigam Ranveer Singh Chauhan, and other senior officials.
