Roorkee: In a surprising incident, a deer strayed from the nearby forest and entered a posh colony in Roorkee, eventually wandering into a house. The unusual activity was captured on the home’s CCTV cameras, leaving residents stunned.
The incident took place in the Civil Lines area near Neelam Talkies, where businessman Vivek Agarwal resides. The deer reportedly entered the premises and roamed around the property for a while before leaving on its own.
On Friday morning, when the family checked the CCTV footage, they were astonished to see the deer’s movements inside their premises. The footage, now widely circulated on social media, shows the deer exploring the house before heading out.
Vivek Agarwal informed his neighbors about the incident, adding to the buzz in the colony. Meanwhile, Roorkee Forest Ranger Vinay Rathi suggested that the deer likely strayed into the colony during the night. “A team has been assigned to gather further information about the deer,” he stated.
The incident has sparked discussions among residents about wildlife conservation and the growing encroachment of urban areas into natural habitats, which may force animals to venture into human settlements.
