A suspected solver appearing in the IBPS Scale-III examination was caught on Sunday from an exam centre in Chaman Vihar under Patel Nagar police station area of Dehradun. The accused has been found linked to nearly 12 examinations, prompting the police to register a case and begin an investigation.
The incident occurred during the IBPS Scale-III examination when a candidate identified as Rishi Kumar, a resident of Devika Skipper, Ramnagar, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), arrived to appear for the test. During biometric verification, his photograph matched records from several earlier examinations, where it was linked with different candidates’ names.
According to examination centre Commanding Officer Surajpal Singh Rawat, while the biometric data for the current exam was found to be correct, scrutiny revealed that the same photograph had been used in around 12 previous exams as a solver for other candidates. This raised serious concerns about the integrity of earlier recruitment processes.
Officials further revealed that several candidates, for whom the accused allegedly appeared as a solver in previous exams, have already secured jobs. Based on these findings, the accused was detained after the examination and handed over to the police.
