According to the temple committees, the doors of Gangotri Dham will close on November 2 for the Annakoot festival, while Yamunotri Dham will close on November 3, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. With the closure of these shrines, the Char Dham Yatra season for this year is nearing its end.
The annual closing of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples marks the conclusion of the pilgrimage season for these revered sites. During the winter months, worship will continue at designated winter locations until the temples reopen in the following year.
