Haridwar police have uncovered a shocking murder case in the Pathri police station area, where a woman and her lover killed her husband for obstructing their illicit relationship. The accused, Ritu and Ritik, have been arrested, and the car used in the crime has been seized.
SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal revealed that on March 18, an unidentified body was found near the roadside in Shahpur Sheetla Kheda. The deceased was identified as 49-year-old Sukhpal Singh, a resident of the same village and a sevadar at a gurudwara in Amritsar. His brother suspected Ritu and her lover Ritik of the murder.
Investigations revealed that Ritu had called Sukhpal back to the village. The accused made him drink alcohol, and when he was intoxicated, Ritik suffocated him to death before dumping the body in the bushes. The couple had planned to marry after eliminating Sukhpal.
Both accused have been presented in court and sent to jail.
