An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale shook Dharchula in Uttarakhand on Sunday afternoon. According to the Disaster Management Department, tremors were felt from Dharchula to the Bangapani area at around 3:34 PM. Fortunately, there were no reports of any casualties or damage to property.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the high-altitude region of Dharchula at a depth of five kilometers. Although the tremors caused brief panic among residents, the situation remained under control, and normalcy quickly returned.
