Rajaji Tiger Reserve has officially opened all tourism gates for wildlife enthusiasts, marking the start of the safari season across Motichur, Chilla, Ranipur and Mohand ranges. The inauguration ceremony at Motichur included traditional rituals, where Range Officer Mahesh Semwal and Warden Sarita Bhatt opened the gate. Chilla range was opened jointly by Warden Chitranjali Negi and forest officials.
This year, a new reception centre has been built at Motichur for visitor facilitation, along with enhanced safety measures. Officials confirmed that no changes have been made to entry fees. Indian visitors will pay ₹150, foreign tourists ₹600, Indian vehicles ₹250 and foreign vehicles ₹500. Students are eligible for 50% concession, while the forest rest house will cost ₹1,000 per stay. A commercial camera fee of ₹500 has been fixed.
To maintain discipline and ensure regulated movement, unregistered commercial vehicles have been banned in the Motichur range. Only registered and approved vehicles, including authorised taxis, will be permitted for jungle safari transport.
