Tehri Garhwal – A seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government College Chandrabadni (Naikhari), Tehri Garhwal, has commenced at the guest house near Government Primary School, Jurana. The camp was inaugurated under the chairmanship of the college principal, Dr. Mahant Maurya. Dr. P.S. Bisht, Senior Faculty from the Sociology Department, attended as the chief guest. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a Saraswati Vandana.
Nodal Officer Suresh Kumar Bhatt outlined the objectives and activities planned for the seven-day camp. Dr. Pratap Singh Bisht introduced volunteers to various NSS activities, while Geography Department Senior Faculty Dr. G.P. Thapliyal shared insights on water conservation.
Former Program Officer Anupa Phonia and Dr. Dayadhar Dixit also addressed the gathering, encouraging the volunteers. Concluding the event, Principal Dr. Mahant Maurya extended his best wishes for the camp’s success and provided guidelines on discipline by organizing volunteers into different groups.
