The four-day Acro Festival and SIC competition organised by the Tourism Development Council concluded in Tehri with a grand closing ceremony at Koti Colony. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the final event and witnessed thrilling aerial performances by national and international paragliders, who showcased advanced acrobatic manoeuvres over the Tehri Lake region.
During the closing ceremony, the Chief Minister honoured the winners of the Acro Festival and SIC competition for their outstanding performances. The event attracted adventure sports enthusiasts and tourists, strengthening Tehri’s image as an emerging hub for aero sports in Uttarakhand.
On the occasion, CM Dhami also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development projects related to the Tehri Assembly constituency, including works funded under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) projects. He said adventure tourism plays an important role in boosting the local economy and generating employment opportunities in hill regions.
Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, local MLA Kishore Upadhyay, Shakti Lal Shah, Tourism Secretary Dheeraj Gaberiyal, along with senior officials and local representatives, were present at the event. Officials stated that such international-level competitions help promote Uttarakhand globally as a preferred destination for adventure tourism.
