UKSSSC Exam Scam: Candidate Caught Using Fake Certificates and Multiple Identities

Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh

Dehradun: In yet another suspicious candidate was caught before the Cooperative Inspector recruitment exam conducted by Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC). Identified as Surendra Kumar from Modinagar, Ghaziabad, the accused submitted three separate applications using fake documents and forged details.

Surendra used fraudulent educational certificates, caste certificates, and even a fake permanent residence certificate. He registered three applications under different mobile numbers and entered a forged employment ID from the Employment Department. However, during confidential checks, discrepancies were exposed, leading to a police case being filed at Raipur police station.

His biggest mistake was in the employment ID, where he used the prefix “UA” instead of “UK.” Uttarakhand’s official IDs begin with “UK” and contain 16 digits, whereas Surendra’s IDs began with “UA” and had only 13 digits. This error revealed his forgery.

The investigation further showed multiple inconsistencies: he spelled his father’s name differently across applications, presented fake permanent residence certificates showing both Dehradun and Hapur addresses, and even fabricated an OBC certificate with an invalid serial number.

In one instance, Surendra claimed his permanent residence certificate application dated back to 2001 but showed it as issued only in 2023. The certificate lacked an SDM’s signature and had an incorrect government order number, exposing yet another layer of fraud.

Adding to the absurdity, Surendra presented three graduation degrees from three different universities during the same period (2010–2013). He also manipulated his date of birth by showing himself as born in both 1988 and 1995 to justify multiple high school certificates.
