The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) will soon issue a second merit list for the recruitment of Stenographers, Personal Assistants, and other related posts. Despite conducting the typing and shorthand tests, the commission could not find a sufficient number of qualified candidates to fill the advertised 293 vacancies.
The recruitment notification for 293 posts was published on 17 September last year, and the written examination was held on 8 December 2024. Based on the written exam results, the list of eligible candidates for typing and shorthand tests was released on 31 January this year. These skill tests were conducted in Dehradun and Nainital between 16 June and 10 July.
According to the official notification issued by UKSSSC Secretary Dr. Shiv Kumar Barnwal, the commission did not receive enough fully qualified candidates compared to the advertised seats. Therefore, the commission will now release a provisional second merit list based on written examination scores. Candidates included in the second list will be called for the typing and shorthand test.
The commission has advised candidates to continue their preparation and regularly check the UKSSSC website for updates.
