Dhami switches over to Zoho Mail

The Uttarakhand Sports Department has finalized the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to provide free training to youth preparing for Agniveer recruitment in the Indian Army. The training will be conducted across all districts of the state. To be eligible, candidates must be permanent residents of Uttarakhand and have scored at least 45% marks in their high school examinations.

The initiative, launched under the direction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, aims to prepare young men and women for Agniveer recruitment and help them build careers in the armed forces. Applicants must either be permanent residents of Uttarakhand or be studying or employed within the state.

According to the SOP, candidates must be at least 16 years old and have scored more than 33% in each subject in high school. Registration will be carried out at the District Sports Office and the District Youth Welfare Office. Participants will be required to submit a health certificate and wear proper sports attire — T-shirt, shorts, shoes, and socks — during training. Tattoos or permanent unnatural body marks will not be permitted.
