Uttarakhand Begins Teacher Transfer Process for 2025-26 Academic Year

The Directorate of Secondary Education in Uttarakhand has initiated the teacher transfer process for the 2025-26 academic session. Principals, headmasters, lecturers, and assistant teachers (LT) serving in government secondary schools are required to submit their transfer applications and option forms.

Eligible teachers for mandatory transfers from accessible to remote areas and vice versa can access the eligibility list and vacancy details on the department’s website by April 15, 2025. Principals and teachers included in the mandatory transfer list must submit their option forms with up to 10 preferences through the institutional head to the Block Education Officer (BEO), who will forward them to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) by April 20, 2025.

Guidelines for Submission

  • Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
  • Transfers will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Mandatory Transfer Act.
  • The BEOs will compile separate lists for mandatory and request-based transfers, submitting both soft and hard copies by April 30, 2025.
  • LT teachers’ lists will be sent to the divisional Additional Director’s office, while lecturers’ lists will go to the Directorate of Secondary Education.
  • Applications sent without proper authorization will not be considered, nor will any correspondence be entertained.

Special Provisions for Atal Utkrisht Schools

Transfers for principals, headmasters, and lecturers serving in Atal Utkrisht Schools will follow the regulations outlined in the July 7 government order. Only one category of transfer will be accepted per application.
