Uttarakhand: Murder Accused Out on Bail Turns Violent, Molests Woman and Sets Vehicles on Fire

Vigilance Arrests Two Officials for Bribery

Kashipur: Panic spread in the Samia Lake City area after a murder accused, out on bail, went on a violent rampage on Saturday morning. The accused, identified as RaviYadav, a resident of Delhi currently living on Kashipur Road, allegedly attempted to molest a woman and later set three vehicles on fire, including scooters belonging to two school teachers.

According to eyewitnesses, Ravi Yadav arrived at the colony gate carrying a bottle of petrol. He poured petrol on the vehicles parked there and set them ablaze. Two scooters and one motorcycle were partially burnt before locals managed to extinguish the fire. When security guards tried to intervene, the accused assaulted them and tore the uniform of one guard before fleeing the spot in his car.

Residents revealed that Ravi Yadav had previously been jailed in a firearm case from Rudrapur Kotwali and was also accused of molesting a woman and threatening locals with a pistol. His repeated acts of intimidation and violence have caused unrest in the colony.

Police have started an investigation using CCTV footage to trace the accused. Circle Officer Prashant Kumar stated that efforts are underway to arrest Ravi Yadav at the earliest.
