The Uttarakhand government has announced incentive awards for nine NAAC-accredited government colleges and Doon University for their academic excellence. The colleges include:
- Government College, Lambgaon
- Government College, Jainti
- Government College, Nainbagh
- Government College, Kanvaghati Kotdwar
- Government College, Amodi
- Government College, Berinag
- Government College, Chinyalisaur
- Government College, Kapkot
- Government Postgraduate College, Jaiharikhal
Additionally, Doon University, which achieved an NAAC A Grade, will be honored. The Kumaun University’s Pharmacy Department, which secured the 62nd rank in the NIRF rankings, will also receive an incentive award.
Award Details
Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat stated that institutions recognized by NAAC and those ranked in the NIRF will be awarded prizes ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh based on their grading. The initiative aims to promote academic excellence and encourage higher educational standards in the state.
