Dhami Government Grants SDA-CP Benefit to Doctors on Igass Festival, Fulfilling Long-Standing Demand

On the occasion of Igass, the Dhami government in Uttarakhand has approved the long-awaited SDA-CP benefit for doctors serving in provincial medical services. This benefit will be provided to medical officers who have completed their required service tenure in mountainous and remote areas. Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar announced that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat have been committed to addressing the concerns of health department employees, resulting in the fulfillment of this long-pending demand.

According to the newly issued orders, doctors who meet specific service requirements in remote and hilly areas are eligible for SDA-CP benefits at various levels in the pay matrix. For instance, 73 doctors with 4 years of total service, including 2 years in remote areas, will receive benefits under pay matrix level-11, with a salary range of ₹67,700-₹2,08,700. Similarly, doctors who have completed 9 years of service with 5 years in remote areas will be eligible for pay matrix level-12, with a salary range of ₹78,800-₹2,09,200. Other categories are defined for higher levels based on years of service and remote-area experience, benefiting a total of 124 doctors across levels 11 to 13 in the pay matrix.

Dr. Kumar emphasized that the health department values the contribution of doctors and is actively working to resolve all legitimate demands. He also mentioned that recent orders for promotions to additional director and joint director positions have been issued, highlighting the government’s responsive approach to health sector requirements. In his address to the medical community, he urged all doctors to continue their dedicated service, assuring them that their demands and security are priorities for the state government.
