The 127th Induction Training Program at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, concluded today with a formal address by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The program was designed for officers promoted from State Civil Services to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
A total of 97 officers from 19 different states participated in this round of training. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Om Birla encouraged the officers to uphold the values of good governance, transparency, and service to the nation. He emphasized the importance of responsive administration in a democracy and the critical role civil servants play in shaping public policy and delivery systems at the grassroots level.
The induction training aimed to familiarize the newly promoted IAS officers with national policy frameworks, ethics in governance, administrative procedures, and leadership skills to help them adapt to their elevated roles in public service. The program also included interactive sessions with senior bureaucrats, policy experts, and field visits for practical exposure.
