1300 Vacant Positions in Uttarakhand Health Department to Be Filled Soon

The Uttarakhand government is set to fill 1300 vacant Class IV positions in the state’s health department through outsourcing. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed officials to expedite the recruitment process to strengthen medical services across the state.

In a review meeting held at his official residence in Yamuna Colony, Dr. Rawat emphasized the need for timely appointments. District-wise vacancies include 98 in Dehradun, 110 in Haridwar, 190 in Chamoli, 78 in Tehri, 49 in Pauri, 137 in Pithoragarh, 76 in Udham Singh Nagar, 356 in Nainital, 30 in Almora, 46 in Uttarkashi, 85 in Rudraprayag, 42 in Champawat, and 2 in Bageshwar.

Focus on Healthcare Improvement

The minister directed officials to conduct a gap analysis of district and sub-district hospitals to identify areas for improvement. Steps to enhance cleanliness, ensure daily replacement of bedsheets, and install informative signage in hospitals were also discussed. He further called for reducing the response time of the 108 ambulance service and improving hospital canteen services.

Additionally, Dr. Rawat stressed the importance of providing residential facilities for doctors and ensuring the effective implementation of the TB-Free India and Anemia-Free India campaigns.

The meeting was attended by Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, NHM Mission Director Swati Bhadauria, Additional Health Secretary Anand Srivastava, Acting Director General of Health Dr. Sunita Tamta, Dr. Ajit Mohan Johri, and other senior officials.
