30-Member Team of Temple Committee Reaches Badrinath Dham for Pre-Yatra Preparations

Joshimath/Badrinath Dham: Ahead of the Char Dham Yatra 2025, a 30-member team from the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has reached Shri Badrinath Dham to assess and initiate pre-yatra preparations. The team, led by BKTC junior engineer Girish Rawat, includes 15 temple staff and volunteers along with 15 workers.

Earlier, on March 27, BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal had reached Badrinath Dham to personally inspect the arrangements. Following his assessment, the advance team departed from Shri Narsingh Temple in Joshimath on Monday morning and reached the shrine by afternoon.

According to BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaud, the team will carry out repair and maintenance work at the temple guesthouses, offices, puja counters, darshan queue areas, welcome offices, and surrounding premises. Additionally, work related to beautification, electricity, drinking water, communication, and sanitation will also be undertaken.

The weather at Shri Badrinath Dham remains clear, though snow is still visible on nearby hills and certain locations.

The doors of Shri Badrinath Temple are scheduled to open on May 4. Preparations for the Char Dham Yatra are being actively pursued by the state government as well as BKTC. Following Badrinath, another advance team from the committee is set to depart for Shri Kedarnath Dham from Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, after April 10.

Members of the Badrinath advance team include: Junior Engineer Girish Rawat, Senior Assistant Jagmohan Bartwal, Supervisor Bhagwat Mehta, Electricians Sanjay Bhandari, Amit Panwar, Vikas Sanwal, Driver Kanhaiya Lal, Plumbers Mahipal Bisht and Yashpal Bisht, Mason Makar Singh, along with several BKTC volunteers.
