Home Minister Hands Over Appointment Letters, Says ‘No VIP Treatment for Goons Anymore’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his visit to Lucknow, handed over appointment letters to newly selected constables in a grand ceremony alongside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Shah affirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards crime, stating, “Goons no longer get VIP treatment in Uttar Pradesh.”

Upon arrival at Amausi Airport, the Home Minister was warmly welcomed by CM Yogi, who also gifted him a statue of Lord Ram. The event saw participation from BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary and other cabinet ministers.

Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the transformation in the state under PM Modi’s leadership. He noted that the current recruitment drive is a testament to transparent and fair governance. Over the past eight years, Uttar Pradesh has provided more than 8.5 lakh government jobs, showcasing merit-based appointments.

Amit Shah hailed the occasion as a turning point in the lives of over 60,000 youths from various communities and districts, who are now set to join India’s largest police force. He remarked that law and order had deteriorated prior to 2017, but with Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, UP Police is now reaching new heights in professionalism and effectiveness.
