Ranikhet – Ranikhet witnessed an inspiring moment of pride and patriotism as 603 newly trained Agniveers formally joined the Indian Army at the Kumaon Regiment Centre (KRC). After completing 31 weeks of intense and disciplined training, the recruits marched forward to take an oath of unwavering loyalty and service to the nation. KRC Commandant Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Yadav reviewed the ceremonial parade and motivated the young soldiers to uphold the honour of the regiment and the country.
The historic Somnath Ground of the Kumaon Regiment Headquarters became the venue for the sixth batch of Agniveers to take their oath. As the recruits stepped through the Bahadurgarh Gate after months of rigorous military training, the air echoed with patriotic energy and commitment. The presence of their proud families added to the emotional atmosphere, making it a memorable day for every soldier taking the final step into service.
Speaking at the ceremony, Brigadier Yadav said that wearing the uniform and serving the country is a privilege that only a determined and courageous youth receives. He encouraged the Agniveers to excel in every field and bring glory to the Kumaon Regiment through bravery, discipline, and dedication.
Deputy Commandant Colonel Prabhu Ramdas also joined in honouring the parade. Religious teachers of the regiment administered the oath, during which the Agniveers pledged to protect the nation’s honour and sacrifice everything, including their lives, if required.
The new soldiers expressed their enthusiasm to work on any front and contribute to national security. Their disciplined march and powerful oath-taking ceremony inspired many young spectators to consider joining the armed forces.
