Roorkee: Pickup Overturns on Highway Near Narsan, Three Injured

A pickup vehicle overturned on the highway near Narsan in Roorkee, leaving three people injured. The vehicle was on its way from Badhedi Rajputana to a cattle market in Muzaffarnagar, carrying livestock for sale.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred near Narsan Tiraha after the rear left tyre of the Bolero pickup burst, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle overturned in the middle of the highway, leading to temporary disruption and panic among commuters.

The injured have been identified as driver Saharum and cattle owners Koshin and Rakib, all of whom sustained minor injuries in the incident. They were provided immediate assistance at the scene, and no serious casualties were reported.

Eyewitnesses said the sudden tyre burst led to the mishap, highlighting concerns over vehicle maintenance, especially for transport vehicles operating on highways. The presence of livestock in the vehicle added to the risk, though a major accident was narrowly avoided.
