The ceremonial idols of Uddhav Ji and Kuber Ji, regarded as representatives of Lord Badri Vishal, have reached Badrinath Dham from Yogadhyan Badri Temple after their winter stay, marking the final phase of preparations before the temple opening.
The journey began in the morning after traditional rituals, prayers, and Vedic chants at Yogadhyan Badri Temple. The procession included the Utsav Doli of Lord Badri Vishal, the seat of Adi Shankaracharya, the sacred oil kalash (Gadu Ghada), the Rawal (head priest), along with the idols of Uddhav Ji and Kuber Ji.
As the procession moved towards Badrinath Dham, it passed through key stops including Vishnuprayag, Lambagad, and Hanuman Chatti, where locals and devotees welcomed it with prayers and traditional rituals. The presence of an army band and continuous chants of “Jai Badri Vishal” added to the devotional atmosphere.
Security arrangements were put in place along the entire route to ensure the procession concluded peacefully and without disruption.
As per religious beliefs, during the winter closure of the shrine, Uddhav Ji and Kuber Ji reside at Yogadhyan Badri Temple in Pandukeshwar. Their return to Badrinath Dham signifies the reopening of the temple and the resumption of the Char Dham Yatra.
With their arrival, the countdown for the opening of the temple has effectively begun, as lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad await the start of the pilgrimage.
