Uttarakhand Nivas Now Open to the Public: CM Dhami Orders Policy Revision

In a significant move, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the amendment of the official policy governing the newly built Uttarakhand Nivas in New Delhi. Previously reserved exclusively for the Governor, Chief Minister, ministers, senior officials, and select dignitaries, the facility will now be accessible to the general public based on availability.

Revised Policy Highlights:

  • Stay Access for Common Citizens: Uttarakhand residents can now book accommodations at Uttarakhand Nivas, subject to availability.
  • Simplified Booking Process: CM Dhami has instructed officials to simplify the room reservation process and review the lodging charges.
  • Usage Charges:
    • Government Meetings: Free of cost.
    • Corporations and Committees: ₹15,000 per day.
    • Other Organizers: ₹35,000 per day.

This policy change ensures that Uttarakhand Nivas is no longer limited to dignitaries, making it accessible and beneficial for the state’s general populace.
