The Uttarakhand High Court has issued a notification announcing transfers and additional responsibilities for several judicial officers. Under the latest orders, Harish Kumar Goyal has been appointed as the new District and Sessions Judge of Dehradun with immediate effect.
Harish Kumar Goyal was previously serving as the Principal Judge of the Family Court in Pauri Garhwal. The post of District and Sessions Judge in Dehradun had been vacant, and his transfer has now been approved by the High Court.
The notification also assigns additional responsibilities to several judicial officers across the state. In Nainital, First Additional District and Sessions Judge Sanjeev Kumar has been given the additional charge of the Special NDPS Court.
In Dehradun, FTC/Additional District and Sessions Judge Kusum has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the Special POCSO Court. Similarly, Third Additional District and Sessions Judge Vivek Srivastava has been assigned the additional charge of Special Court-II (NDPS).
In Udham Singh Nagar, FTC/Additional District and Sessions Judge Anita Gunjiyal has been given the additional responsibility of the Special POCSO Court.
The High Court has also recommended the name of Harish Kumar Goyal for the post of Legal Adviser at the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission in Haridwar. Additionally, it has recommended that Fifth Additional District and Sessions Judge Arun Vohra of Haridwar be given additional charge as Legal Adviser.
The recommendations related to the Legal Adviser post will take effect only after the Uttarakhand Government issues the necessary notification.
