Uttarakhand’s tableau will feature in the Republic Day Parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, showcasing the state’s adventure sports. The Government of India has finalized the design, model, and music for the tableau, which will highlight activities such as rock climbing, paragliding, bungee jumping, hill cycling, trekking, river rafting, skiing in Auli, and zip-lining in Rishikesh.
Director General of Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, shared that the presentation of the tableau was made before the Ministry of Defence’s expert committee by Uttarakhand’s nodal officer and Joint Director of Information, K.S. Chauhan. The tableau’s front segment will depict a woman creating traditional Aipan art while dressed in Uttarakhand’s traditional attire.
This year, a total of 15 states and Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Punjab, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, have been selected to present their tableaux at the parade.
