History-Sheeter’s Arrest Sparks Chaos in Landaura; Lathi-Charge

In Landaura, the arrest of history-sheeter Subhan by Manglaur Kotwali police during municipal chairman election campaigning led to a major commotion. Subhan, wanted under the NDPS Act, is the son of a chairman candidate.

Following his arrest, a crowd of supporters gathered at the police station, escalating the situation. Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the mob, resulting in injuries, including among women. Protesters fled, abandoning their vehicles, which were later seized.

Subhan, with 25 cases against him, including drug smuggling, has been presented in court. His brother and three others were also arrested for disturbing public peace.
