In Maletha village of Tehsil Kirtinagar, a fire broke out in tin sheds housing workers of the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail project on Thursday. The fire was triggered by a short circuit followed by a cylinder explosion. The incident destroyed all belongings, including clothes, ration, and two motorcycles of the workers. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the workers were not present at the time of the incident.
