In Rudrapur on Friday, Kichha MLA and former minister Tilakraj Behad led a protest against smart prepaid meters, accusing the BJP of misleading the public. During a press conference, he criticized the installation of these meters by private companies, claiming they could cause public harassment.
Behad asserted that the Congress party will not allow the implementation of smart meters at any cost and pledged to fight for the people’s interests. He also alleged that the BJP is confusing citizens under the pretext of smart meters.
