Uttarakhand’s tableau at the Republic Day Parade 2025 on Kartavya Path, Delhi, secured the third position in the country. The tableau beautifully depicted the state’s rich cultural heritage and adventure tourism.
Highlights of Uttarakhand’s Tableau
- The front section showcased Aipan art, a traditional folk art of Uttarakhand, with a woman dressed in traditional attire creating intricate designs. Aipan art, made using rice flour and ochre, is a key part of social, cultural, and religious practices in the state.
- The trailer section of the tableau highlighted adventure sports and tourism attractions such as hill cycling in Nainital and Mussoorie, trekking in the Valley of Flowers and Kedarkantha, snow skiing in Auli, and adventure activities like bungee jumping, zip-lining, and rock climbing in Rishikesh.
Uttarakhand’s tableau received appreciation for its vivid representation of tradition and modern adventure tourism, making it one of the top three in the Republic Day Parade.
