Retired employees of corporations and municipal bodies in Uttarakhand will benefit from an increased Dearness Allowance (DA), as per the government order issued on Friday. The hike applies to employees under the 5th, 6th, and 7th pay commissions.
Revised DA Rates:
- 5th Pay Commission: Increased from 443% to 455% (effective from July 1, 2024).
- 6th Pay Commission: Raised from 239% to 246%.
- 7th Pay Commission: Hiked from 50% to 53%.
Positive Response from Employee Unions
Corporation Federation President Suryaprakash Ranakoti welcomed the decision and thanked the government, stating that the increase will provide much-needed financial relief to retired employees.
