National Games: Uttarakhand At 6th Position with 62 Medals

Uttarakhand has delivered a historic performance in the National Games, securing 14 gold medals and a total of 62 medals so far. The state has climbed to 6th place in the medal tally. Sports Minister Rekha Arya congratulated the athletes, stating that their outstanding performance on Saturday has brought pride to the state.

On Friday, Uttarakhand was at 11th place, but with five gold medals on Saturday, it moved up to 6th position. The state has now won 14 gold, 22 silver, and 26 bronze medals.

Modern Pentathlon Leads with 5 Gold Medals

Uttarakhand bagged the most gold medals (5) in Modern Pentathlon. In boxing, athletes won 3 gold and 2 silver medals. Other gold medals came from Wushu, Taekwondo, Yogasana, Canoeing & Kayaking, and Lawn Bowls.

Services on Top, Karnataka and Maharashtra Trail

The Services team leads the medal tally with 41 golds and a total of 68 medals. Karnataka is in second place with 30 golds (58 medals overall), while Maharashtra holds third place with 25 golds (112 total medals).
