For the first time in Uttarakhand’s legislative history, the budget session is being conducted digitally under the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA). Tablets were placed on each legislator’s desk to facilitate the transition to an e-Vidhan Sabha. However, several legislators struggled to log in and had to rely on hard copies.
To support lawmakers, two ITDA officials were assigned as per the instructions of Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri. Despite these efforts, many legislators faced challenges due to a lack of login credentials, preventing them from accessing digital documents. During the Governor’s address, most legislators preferred referring to hard copies instead of digital versions.
