In Berinag, Almora, a protest was staged by workers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) against the alleged operation of an illegal mosque in a private residence. The demonstration took place following complaints from local residents regarding the mosque’s operation without proper permits and in violation of regulations.
Himanshu Joshi, the founder of the RSS, stated that they have informed the local administration about the mosque and warned that if no action is taken within 15 days, the RSS will initiate state-wide and nationwide protests. He emphasized the need for local authorities to take action against the operation of such illegal religious establishments to prevent further issues.
The protest has raised tensions among the local community in Berinag, and the RSS has expressed its determination to escalate the movement if the situation does not improve. Protesters are urging the local administration to take the matter seriously and act accordingly.
