Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke with the family of the Nainital rape victim over the phone on Friday, assuring them of full support, security, and justice. The Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the grieving family and reiterated that the state government stands firmly with them during this difficult time.
CM Dhami directed the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police of Nainital to provide immediate security and all necessary administrative assistance to the victim’s family. Acting on his instructions, the District Magistrate has asked the Probation Officer to link the victim with the state’s Sponsorship Scheme, which provides financial and welfare support to children in need.
The Chief Minister’s prompt response comes amid growing public concern over the incident, emphasizing the government’s commitment to justice and safety for women in the state.
