On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, June 5, the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya will witness a historic spiritual event — the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of deities in 14 temples within the complex. This grand event, led by 101 Vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya, will mark a significant moment of religious and cultural revival. The three-day celebration, organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, will begin on June 3, though the ritualistic preparations will start from May 30.
The first Pran Pratishtha will be of a Shivling at the Shiva temple within the Ram Mandir complex, scheduled for May 30 — a date aligned with the presence of ‘Shiva Vaas’ as per Hindu belief. On June 5, the remaining 13 idols will be consecrated simultaneously, making it a landmark moment in the temple’s spiritual journey.
The seven-day Vedic ritual will include Panchang Pujan, Yagya Mandap Pujan, Agni Sthapana, and Jal Yatra. Other rituals such as Jaladhivas and Aushadhivas will also be performed. During this period, Vedic acharyas will chant mantras, recite Valmiki Ramayana, perform Parayan of Ramcharitmanas, and read from all four Vedas. For the deity installations, two-feet-high marble thrones have been crafted, on which the idols will be placed during consecration.
This celebration is not only a major religious ceremony but also a reaffirmation of India’s spiritual heritage and devotion.
