The state government has broadened its investigation into land purchases across the region. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has requested reports from all districts regarding land purchases exceeding 250 square meters. Additionally, the government is seeking details about the utilization of land parcels larger than 12.50 acres.
Chief Secretary Raturi has set a seven-day deadline for districts to submit their reports. Initially, the Chief Minister had called for a report from four specific districts, but the scope of the investigation has now been expanded. In cases where land has been acquired in violation of existing rules, the ownership of such land will be transferred to the government.
