Three High-Level Meetings Scheduled This Month; CM Dhami to Visit Delhi Again

The third week of May is set to be busy for the Uttarakhand government, with three significant meetings lined up. The state is preparing for visits from the 16th Finance Commission team and the Joint Parliamentary Committee seeking suggestions on the “One Nation, One Election” proposal.

The Finance Commission team is scheduled to arrive in Dehradun on May 18. That evening, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will host a dinner in their honor. On May 19, the Commission will hold a detailed discussion with senior state government officials in the presence of the Chief Minister. Uttarakhand will make its official presentation to seek appropriate grants and tax share allocation for the next five years.

After the conclusion of these meetings in Dehradun, CM Dhami will travel to New Delhi to attend a key meeting of the NITI Aayog, further emphasizing the importance of this week in shaping the state’s financial and policy direction.
