Mayawati Appoints Nephew Akash as BSP’s Chief National Coordinator

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Sunday announced a key organisational reshuffle, appointing her nephew Akash Anand as the party’s Chief National Coordinator during a crucial national meeting. She also entrusted him with responsibilities for upcoming party programmes and advised caution while working towards strengthening the party.

The meeting focused on expanding BSP’s organisational presence across the country and increasing its appeal among all sections of society. A comprehensive review of the party’s performance and strategy was also conducted.

During the meeting, BSP leaders lauded the Indian Army for its decisive action under Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Mayawati also supported the Indian government’s strong stance against Pakistan’s nuclear threats, stating it was a timely and appropriate warning.

She emphasized that anti-terrorism measures are essential to safeguard lives and families. On the Kashmir issue, she firmly stated that India must not accept any third-party interference, including from the United States, asserting that self-reliance is the best path forward.
