The Medhavi Chhatra Samman Samaroh 2025, organised by Amar Ujala, was held in Dehradun to honour meritorious students of Uttarakhand Board. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Education & Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat felicitated the top 10 rankers from Class 10 and 12 with certificates, laptops, and tablets. A total of 75 students were honoured — 15 from Class 12 and 60 from Class 10.
Receiving laptops and tabs directly from the Chief Minister brought visible joy to the students’ faces. Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami praised the students as future torchbearers of a developed India. He urged them to set high goals and pursue them with unwavering dedication, stating that “once you allow alternatives to enter your resolve, you risk losing direction.”
He said that today’s achievements are the result of the students’ hard work and that this is just the beginning. He encouraged them to aim higher and continue making Uttarakhand proud.
CM Dhami also addressed the issue of exam malpractice, highlighting the government’s crackdown on cheating and corruption. “Earlier, students’ morale was broken due to rampant cheating and corruption. Today, I see a sense of satisfaction on the faces of parents, who sacrifice so much for their children’s education,” he said. He reiterated the state’s commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency in the education system by eliminating exam mafias and protecting students’ efforts.
