In the 2025 Char Dham Yatra, the Uttarakhand government has placed top priority on the health and safety of devotees alongside their spiritual journey. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, the state’s health department has implemented a robust system for health screening along the pilgrimage route.

Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar stated that over 5 lakh pilgrims have already undergone health screening during the yatra so far. The department has introduced a three-tier health infrastructure to manage high-risk groups including elderly pilgrims, those with heart and respiratory conditions, and first-time visitors to high-altitude regions. Given the challenges posed by low oxygen levels, extreme cold, and altitude, the state has strengthened its health response to mitigate these risks effectively.

The move reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring a safe and smooth pilgrimage for all devotees.
