Today marks the 61st foundation day of the renowned Kainchi Dham, and a massive wave of devotion has swept across the shrine of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj. From early Sunday morning, thousands of devotees have been pouring into the temple to seek blessings.
The day began at 4:45 AM with a ceremonial offering of Malpua to Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj and other deities of the temple. Distribution of the sacred prasad began soon after. Over 10,000 devotees had already arrived by Friday evening, signaling a historic turnout for this year’s event.
To manage the huge crowd, authorities deployed 600 shuttle vehicles transporting devotees from Haldwani, Bhimtal, Bhowali, and Nainital to the temple premises. The line of devotees stretched over two kilometers by morning. Police forces have been strategically stationed across key points like Kainchi, Bhowali, and Kathgodam to maintain order.
District Magistrate Vandana Singh also arrived via shuttle to inspect the arrangements and assured that all devotees were being facilitated for smooth darshan. Senior Superintendent of Police Prahlad Narayan Meena confirmed that extra personnel have been deployed in various towns to ensure a seamless experience for both pilgrims and tourists.
The temple management, led by Pradeep Sah Bhaiyu, ensured early rituals were performed on time and that prasad distribution remained uninterrupted throughout the day.
